PIKIN CHIXS KICKS OFF WITH SPECIAL EVENTS! The Motte Country Plaza is now the new home of a Farmers Market. Opening day began May 14, 2011 and will continue every Friday and Saturday. The Motte Country Plaza is located at 28380 Highway 74 in Menifee and is owned by the Motte Family. The plaza is anchored by a historical museum/barn that was built by Leon Motte. The barn is being refurbished to showcase the area and vintage antique cars dating back to the 1920’s. Its rich history embellishes the country feel. The museum will be open sometime this summer. Pikin Chixs is run by two women, Sharon Each and Patty Montejo. They have shared their passion for vintage and truly are considered junktiquers. As they both go pikin into places where treasures are found, which is where the name Pikin Chixs came about. Together they have created this business idea to enhance the inland empire as a place that can connect the community with these special events. They are delighted to present the Farmers Market at the Motte Country Plaza. The feel of the barn is exactly what makes it so special. The vendors that participate include food, produce, vintage furniture, jewelry, collectibles, linens, flowers, plants and creative pieces of work by local artisans. Think cheap, chic and unique. The market will be open every Friday and Saturday from 8am to 2pm rain or shine. This is something for the entire family to enjoy. Pikin Chixs will be hosting an Affaire at the Barn on October 1, 2011. This will be the first of many events to follow in 2012. The event will feature local artists that create pieces of Rustic charm, Romantic Country, Shabby and Cottage Décor. You will find vintage treasures from handmade jewelry, clothing, dolls, paintings, beads and buttons, and vintage paper creations. Follow them on pikinchixs.com. Events will be posted along with their many pikin adventures. Need your home picked? Call Pikin Chixs!
