9 years of yummy fun Riverside’s Inland Empire Regional Chili Cook-Off and Car/Cycle Show kicks off it’s 9th year on Saturday, May 28th. The event, put on each year by the Arlington Business Partnership (ABP) runs from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm at our usual location along Magnolia Avenue from Van Buren Blvd to Jackson Street. Last year’s event brought 40,000 chili tasters from Riverside and the surrounding areas. Come join the fun and bring your appetite for chili! We’ve got over 20 cooks from the International Chili Society (ICS) and they will be in full competition mode. This year, we’ve also got 16 community cooks (double last year’s number) competing to be called the very best! Besides chili, we’ll have food vendors with popcorn to smoothies and everything in between. Our two beer gardens will be hopping! The Kid Zone will entertain kids of all ages. We’ll have our petting zoo, water wars, jumpers and rock climbing wall and the Choo-Choo will be winding it’s way through the event all day long. Bring your little ones and have them participate in the Little Mr. Hot Sauce and Little Miss Chili Peppers contest! Let’s not forget the cars! Lots and lots of classic cars will be available for you to see from the 20’s to the 70’s. Want to “show” your own classic beauty? Download an application from the website and bring it to the event with $30 while space is available. How about showing off your beautiful motorcycle? We’ve lowered the price this year to only $10! We’ll also have lots of entertainment with two stages and our own local Factory Tuned playing on the Main Stage. To keep you busy, we’ll have arts and crafts vendors and business vendors who want to meet you and show you their great products! Don’t miss it!
